Cell Phonr

I am p for an upgrade onmy verizon cell phone and the phone I want rthey do not have in stores, its the LG Chocolate Touch. They worker I talked to yesterday at the store said it would be easier to upgrade your phone online. I tried to upgrade it yesterday. I signed into my Verizon account and I went to upgrade phone and I did all the steps it said and then when I went to check out it said that I had to pay over $100. So, how do you upgrade your phonr on Verizon.com? I am up for an upgrade. And I need a new phone as soon as possible. Please help!
